Robin Hood has been part of British folklore since the fourteenth century. Known as the skilled archer who stole from the rich to give to the poor, his story has been passed down for generations and inspired countless books and films.
The Royal Mint launched this coin in 2021 as the first release in its Myths and Legends series, later followed by coins featuring Maid Marian and Little John. The reverse, designed by Jody Clark, shows Robin Hood poised on a branch in Sherwood Forest with his bow drawn. The obverse carries Jody Clark's effigy of Queen Elizabeth II.
Each coin contains one troy ounce of 999 fine silver (31.1 grams), with a diameter of 38.61mm and a £2 face value. As UK legal tender, it's exempt from Capital Gains Tax for UK residents, a benefit that doesn't apply to silver bars or rounds.
Whether your coin is from the original bullion release, has picked up tarnish, or shows handling marks after a few years in a collection, we'll value it accurately based on its silver content. From a single coin to a full collection, you'll get a fair price and same-day payment from a trusted UK bullion buyer.
