As a precious metals dealer, we are required by law to comply with the Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing and Transfer of Funds (Information on the Payer) Regulations 2017. This means we may be legally required to collect and verify your identity before completing certain transactions.

The lawful basis for collecting and processing this data is legal obligation (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(c)). You are required to provide this information by law, and we cannot complete certain transactions without it. Identity verification records are retained for a minimum of five years following the end of a business relationship, in accordance with the Money Laundering Regulations 2017.

Usage Data

CCTV

We operate CCTV systems at our branch premises in Royal Wootton Bassett and Bodmin, and during the handling of items received by post. CCTV is used for security, crime prevention and detection, and to ensure the safe and accurate handling of items we receive.

The lawful basis for operating CCTV is legitimate interests (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). CCTV footage is generally retained for up to 31 days, unless it is required in connection with a specific incident, investigation, or legal matter, in which case it may be retained for longer.

Data Retention
