What is the Six Decades of 007 range?
The Royal Mint launched Six Decades of 007 in 2024 to celebrate 60 years of James Bond, Britain's favourite secret agent. Each coin is dedicated to the Bond films of one decade.
The range was produced under licence, in partnership with EON Productions Ltd and Danjaq.
Bullion, proof and Brilliant Uncirculated
The Royal Mint released Six Decades of 007 in three standards: bullion, proof and Brilliant Uncirculated.
Bullion coins are made for investors and are priced mainly on their gold or silver content. Proof and Brilliant Uncirculated coins are collector editions, struck with a higher-quality finish and sold in presentation packaging.
The coins we list on this page are the bullion versions only, in 1oz gold and 1oz silver. They don't include the proof or Brilliant Uncirculated coins.
The designs
Each reverse shows a famous vehicle from a Bond film of that decade, with the titles of the decade's films shown in the design. The scene is circled by the gun barrel effect that opens every 007 film.
The obverse of every coin carries the official coinage portrait of King Charles III by Martin Jennings.

James Bond coins and tax
All Six Decades of 007 bullion coins are UK legal tender. That means any gain you make when you sell them is free from Capital Gains Tax (CGT) for UK residents.
The gold coins are 999.9 fine, so they count as investment gold and are VAT-free. Silver isn't VAT-free in the UK. New silver coins carry VAT at the standard rate, while pre-owned silver coins are sold under the VAT margin scheme, so VAT is only charged on the dealer's margin.
If you're not sure how tax applies to you, it's worth speaking to a tax adviser.
