Product Description

The Royal Mint's Six Decades of 007 bullion range celebrates 60 years of James Bond films, with one coin for each decade from the 1960s to the 2010s. This coin is dedicated to the Bond films of the 1980s.

The design

The reverse, designed by Matt Dent and Christian Davies, shows the Bede BD-5J "Acrostar" microjet from the opening sequence from Octopussy. The decade also brought Bond films such as For Your Eyes Only and Licence To Kill.

The scene is circled by the gun barrel effect that opens every 007 film. The obverse carries the official coinage portrait of King Charles III by Martin Jennings, with the £100 face value.

The range is an officially licensed product, made in partnership with EON Productions Ltd and Danjaq.
