About the Canadian 1oz Silver Maple Leaf coin
Introduced in 1988, the Canadian Silver Maple Leaf is one of the purest government-issued silver bullion coins available. Struck from .9999 fine silver, it's backed by the Canadian government and carries a face value of 5 Canadian dollars - the highest face value of any comparable 1oz silver bullion coin.
Its obverse features an effigy of Queen Elizabeth II (or, from 2024 onwards, King Charles III), while the reverse showcases the iconic sugar maple leaf - a national symbol of Canada. Over the years, the Royal Canadian Mint has incorporated a number of advanced security features, including radial lines and micro-engraved privy marks, making the Silver Maple one of the most secure silver coins in circulation.
While Silver Maples are often sold in tubes of 25 or monster boxes of 500, many investors hold just a handful as part of a diversified stack. Thanks to their purity and international recognition, these coins are highly liquid - but that doesn't mean every buyer will pay what they're truly worth.
That's where we come in. Unlike pawn shops or general scrap buyers, we specialise in high-purity bullion and pay accordingly. Whether your Silver Maples are tarnished, pristine, or anything in between, they'll still fetch a strong price based on their silver content.
