Product Description
The Britannia bullion series has represented the strength and integrity of British coinage since 1987. For 2026, the one-tenth ounce Gold Britannia offers the same trusted design and purity as the full ounce coin, but in a size that's accessible to a wider range of investors.
The reverse features Philip Nathan's acclaimed depiction of Britannia: a powerful yet graceful figure, holding shield, trident and olive branch. Surrounding the image is the inscription Decus et Tutamen - Latin for “an ornament and a safeguard”, a fitting motto for a coin designed to preserve value.
To reinforce its authenticity, the 2026 Britannia incorporates four innovative security features.
- Latent image: switches between a trident and a padlock depending on the viewing angle.
- Surface animation: flowing waves that shimmer when the coin is tilted.
- Micro-text: fine engraving around the border, adding decoration and protection.
- Tincture lines: detailed line work within Britannia's shield, highlighting the Union Flag.
The obverse bears Martin Jennings' uncrowned portrait of His Majesty King Charles III, accompanied by the £10 face value. Each coin is struck in 24 carat (999.9 fine) gold, containing 0.10 troy ounces (around 3.11 grams) of pure gold.
Delivery Information
We dispatch all orders securely via Royal Mail, fully insured and tracked. Providing your order is received by 1pm, we will endevour to dispatch same day. We deliver to UK cardholder addresses only. Customers may also choose to collect from our Royal Wootton Bassett office, where valid photo ID and proof of address are required. If you choose 'Click & Collect', we will notify you when your order is ready for collection.
