Please ensure you bring with you photo ID (driving licence or passport) and one proof of address dated within the last three months (recent utility bill, bank statement or council tax bill).

Claim Form

If you're considering selling any gold Sovereigns or other coins, make sure you're getting a fair price.

Many gold dealers will only offer a price based on the bullion value of a gold sovereign, regardless of its condition or scarcity. Some specialist coin dealers even require you to advise them that a coin is particularly rare or collectable!

Can you value my sovereign over the telephone?

Unfortunately, it's practically impossible to do this. Valuations can vary hugely depending on the condition of the coin and its scarcity. There's nothing worse than over-valuing a customer's coin based on its described condition, only to down-value it once it's been received!

What if I change my mind?

You're under no obligation to sell to us. If you change your mind, we'll return your coin(s) via next day insured Royal Mail Special Delivery & we'll do it at our cost, not yours.

When you submit the form, you'll be asked to print a copy out for signing. If you don't have a printer, just hand write the detail of the form in a letter.
If you elect for payment into your bank account (it's our recommended option & free), you'll see a section on your paperwork to hand write your bank details.
Follow our instructions regarding packaging and postage. You'll be sending your coins via insured Special Delivery to the custom address at the bottom of your claim form.
We deal with all packages on the day of receipt, Monday to Friday. We will contact you with our valuation and if you are happy for us to proceed, payment will be issued immediately.
If for any reason you change your mind, your coins will be returned via Royal Mail Special Delivery.

3. How would you like to be paid?

Direct (BACS) Bank Transfer

BACS payments are free-of-charge. They are usually issued on the day we receive your gold / precious metals (Monday to Friday). For most customers with a high street bank account, your money should show on your account on the day of payment. However, for a guaranteed same day service, please select the CHAPS option. To find out if your bank or building society uses the Faster Payments system, enter your sort code on the APACS Sort Code Checker.

Cheque

Normally issued the same day we receive your items (Monday to Friday). Please note a nominal charge of £2.00 will be deducted to cover our costs.

Cash

For security, we send cash payments via Royal Mail Special Delivery. To cover postage and handling fees, we charge £6.50, plus £0.30 for each £100. Cash payments are limited to a maximum of £2,500.

PayPal

Please note that PayPal will deduct transaction charges from the payment we make to you (approx. 3%). We are not responsible for these charges.

Same Day (CHAPS) Bank Transfer

Guaranteed to be in your account on the day we receive your gold (Monday to Friday). A £25 admin fee will payable to cover our bank transaction charges (waived on transactions over £2,500). FAQ

Nominated Charity

We pay an extra 5% on top of the scrap value when payment is to charity. If you are donating your payment, please state the charity below. FAQ

I require a formal quote prior to payment

If you're unsure as to what you have, we can sort, test and supply you with a valuation. We do not charge any valuation or testing fees and if you decide not to sell, we return your items at our cost, not yours.

If you've stated the weight and purity of your items, your claim form will already give you an estimated value of your items, based on today's prices. If you tick this box, you must formally accept our valuation, prior to us issuing payment.
